Love and Promise

Our story does not date back very long at this time but it is a story of love and promise that we wish to share with you all. This site is our way of sharing with you our joy and happiness as a couple and we hope it inspires others also.

The relationship between us began unsuspectingly via a popular online personals site. We had both been corresponding with other people online over the years and making friends, getting close to people and generally just being nice people who like to chat and write to people from all over the world. Little did we know what was about to hit us.

We first made contact late October 2004 but it wasn't until the 1st Dec 2004 that we had our first real time online chat. The following days saw many more chats and they were getting more personal as time went on. By early 2005 it was well established between us that there was a lot more going on than simply another e-pal connection. Our families were also beginning to see changes in us and our attitude towards each other as well so something had to be done to validate our feelings in the real world. After a lot of planning and organizing late August 2005 saw Geoff visit the Philippines to see Marissa and become acquainted with her family and some of her Friends.

We know it all sounds like a fairy tale. For a while we were living in that "what if it is a dream" state. We are sure now that it is true and the feelings we had while chatting online and on the phone prior to meeting in person where very much the real thing. What we experienced together during that two weeks went a long way beyond both our expectations and it was clear early in that trip that we had found our soul mate, our perfect match, we had fallen in love.

The two week romantic holiday was the most wonderful experience either of us had ever shared and it was decided that we would not only share a two week holiday, but we would now share the rest of our lives together.

We are now in the process of setting up our plans for the future. Some of this requires a visa application and wedding plans but the larger part is in mental and other personal adjustments we will both have to make to remain a loving couple. We know that all relationships have their ups and downs and we are ready to take on any problem that dare stand between us.

We will keep you up to date with our progress as we go. This site serves not only as a info site about us, but as proof that true love exists and it can come when you least expect it as long as you are out there and willing to follow your heart.
